Introduction to Buddhism and meditation

Radical Dharma: an introduction to Buddhism and meditation
Can we really find happiness in more and more distraction, and having ever more stuff? Buddhism tells us that this won’t work – but that there is a real happiness to be found, if we look in the right place.

On this course you will learn two of the most important Buddhist meditation practices,  one to develop mindfulness and the other to develop loving-kindness. You will also try out some powerful Buddhist wisdom teachings that can change the way we see the world.

Using a combination of team-teaching, group discussion, meditation, and practical exercises, this course gives us the tools to become more like the person we want to be.
Open to anyone interested in Buddhism.

The course will take place on Tuesday evenings.

There is a deposit of £20 which needs to be paid before the start of the course. Blackburn Buddhist Centre operates on a basis of generosity to help with running costs, so we ask for a further suggested donation of £10 once you join the course. However, we want anyone to be able to attend, please contact the centre if you cannot afford the suggested amounts.

To book a place on the course please email the centre: Someone will respond to you as soon as possible.

Places are limited, to ensure we look after the health and wellbeing of all who attend the centre.
