The evening when we celebrate the Dharma – the truth teachings of the Buddha. The Dharma is one of the “three jewels” of Buddhism, alongside the Buddha and the Sangha.
This is one of the major festivals in our year.
It will be a hybrid event.
There will be the following programmes for people attending the centre and those joining by Zoom
If you are coming to the centre:
6pm – come along for a shared meal – bring veggie food to share.
7pm –Dharma day talk by Sanghaketu – joined by people on zoom as this is the hybrid part of the evening
Break
After the break Ratnagita will lead a ritual in the shrine room
If you are joining on Zoom:
6:45 – the zoom room will open
7pm – join people in the centre for Sanghaketu’s Dharma day talk
Break
After the break Lucy and Dorothy will lead a meditation/ reflection based on an important dharma teaching – the Karaniya Metta Sutta
Note: this is a sangha event and you need to have completed an introduction to Buddhism course to attend.
